  Leave and Expense Management Updates
ePayroll now provides the choice to create and customise employer and public holiday dates unique to your company, industry or/and state.

Many companies have bank holidays, Christmas holidays and times during the year that the office is closed. In order to make it easier for these companies to process leave, we have created an option to create and customise 'Employer Holidays'. Once these are added into the application, ePayroll will automatically cater for this during leave applications.

ePayroll's 'Public Holiday' feature allows administrators to create and customise both Public and State Holidays that maybe unique to their state. This may include Melbourne Cup Day, Labour Day and more. Once these are created, again, the system will automatically recognise these dates as holidays and will incorporate this into leave management.

ePayroll will also have the ability to hold several leave and expense management approval workflows to cater for different processes. This will allow different approval paths for leave management, expense management and timesheets.

  New Enhanced Timesheet

(Note: This feature will be released in Phase II of our enhancements.)

ePayroll has developed a new advanced timesheet feature which can be seamlessly integrated with the payroll. The timesheet now incorporates an approval system, audit trail and a basic award interpreter.

Employees and/or managers can complete the timesheet and submit day by day or each week. Once submitted, the time sheet will need to be approved. During the approval process, the timesheet administrator will be able to view an audit trail and provide comments or keep notes. Following approval it can then be submitted to the pay sheet in order to automatically configure the hours into the payroll.

New timesheet roles are also introduced as a result of the timesheet functionality. These roles include timesheet administrator, timesheet approver and timesheet user. These can be selected or allocated under ‘web roles’.

The enhanced time sheet also supports multiple cost centres, multiple shifts, multiple breaks and more.

Managing your employees even more efficiently

ePayroll has provided more flexibility in order to assist in employee management.

When terminated, an Employee still has ESS access.  Their access is limited to check pay slips, payment summaries and change their address.  Please note that an Employer cannot remove this access.

Part of the advanced time sheet function is the basic award interpreter. This supports the calculation of alternative rates and shifts, also providing a reminder feature.

Administrators now have access to more audit reports, approval systems and submissions. It now provided the ability to have multiple workflows for different application approvals.

Additional reminders have been built-in to assist in efficiently of approval systems and workflow.

  Silverlight Technology

New requirement – Microsoft Silverlight 4.0

We have enhanced our leave management to include some exciting features that will make your work a whole lot easier. At ePayroll, we continuously improve and upgrade our technology to provide you with a better and faster system. Our new flow chart is one of these exciting changes.

This new feature requires users to download Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 a FREE application, in order to generate the innovative and advanced organizational chart. If you are a first time user of Microsoft Silverlight 4.0 or do not have it installed on your PC, a download button will appear in order for you to download the program prior to viewing or editing the flow chart. Please note below.

Users will only be required to download Silverlight if they need to access, view or edit the flow chart. Users will not be able to access to the flow chart without Silverlight.

ePayroll’s new leave management and organizational chart incorporates many new features such an easy-to-use ‘drag and drop’ element for selecting employee roles, ability to create and duplicate chart structure and more!

•       With Silverlight technology, this will enable employees to hold multiples positions in the workflow with different priority.

Silverlight will empower administrators to experience easier navigation within the application.

  More control and options

More controls mean that Leave and Expense paid to the pay sheet can now be rolled back. Hence the user can roll back a Paysheet item prior to completing a payroll run.

Once an employee is terminated, the workflow position from the previous employee will rollover to the new employee to hold that position. This will redirect the employee timesheet, leave and expense to the new person in the workflow. For example, If a Manager exits the business, a new manager must be able to take over all workflow. If the Manager reports to a Senior Manager and the Manager leaves, the default new workflow owner will be either someone assigned in the same box or above them in the flow chart

This new upgrade will also cater for multiple positions. Meaning one person can hold multiple positions and can apply for two different leave with different approval and escalation paths.

To provide more accuracy regarding escalation paths and reminders, a time can now be put in place for escalation in addition to the date. Hence time that the auto email is sent is now configurable so the escalation will be fired at that time.
